Rowena wears long dresses or skirts with a blouse, occasionally wide-legged pants, and always wears high heels. โ VOICE.Scottish-born, Rowena's accent is strong and proud despite her years and travel. โ SMELL. She will smell of magic and whatever ingredients that she has been using, even with a perfume lightly underneath that. The smell of Rowena's magic differs depending on the type of spell she's using, the ingredients involved and whether the magic is more innate or spell-based. Her innate magic would bring a linger smell of her shampoo (rose) or perfume (dark berries and jasmine). โ DEMEANOUR. Ballsy, manipulative, very bold. She can either be manipulative in a very charming and believably helpful way or oversell it (obviously and on purpose) depending on her intentions. โ OTHER. Rowena's eyes glow purple whenever she uses her magic. She also has a large scar on her right thigh, and two smaller scars by her left shoulder and her left hip.

โ WITCH. As a witch, Rowena's immortal, immune to ageing and disease but able to be killed by other methods. Rowena has been described by others as a very powerful and dangerous witch, given the liberties she takes in using her magic and her history of using it to hurt other people for her own gains. After practising her craft for centuries, she's incredibly knowledgeable about many forms of magic, skilled in spellwork (and creating spells), using hex bags and Enochian sigils or Druidic runes. Rowena is capable of using her magic to heal herself and others, transform people and objects into other things, astral project, move people and objects telekinetically, conjure illusions, curse others (and remove curses) and has an awareness of other magical (or supernatural) beings, being able to sense them. While Rowena knows many spells, she still relies on grimoires to cast spells that she has never used before along with ingredients.
After unlocking the seal on her magic, her eyes glow purple when she uses magic and her spells take a purple hue to them. She is additionally now able to teleport, see Reapers and in general her spells have become more powerful.
โ LINGUIST. Rowena has learned multiple languages throughout her long life. Whilst many of her spells are cast in Latin, Rowena has shown that she is knowledgable in reading and casting spells in other (and ancient) languages, being able to translate the components needed for them, and in some cases stating that she is the only witch alive capable of translating such ancient magic (and the language). Other languages she's seen knowing: Gaelic, Gaeilge, Ogham, Polish, Sumerian, Enochian (sigils), Romanian.

โ born in scotland in the 1600s (~1645, "june 17") โ had a son, fergus, in 1661 (~16) โ fled scotland in 1669/1670 [without fergus] when the witch trials began โ sought refuge in europe but was turned away by the loughlin's, eventually finding refuge in italy โ later encountered a polish family who took her in, in return she healed their son of his illness [and granted him immortality. rowena loved him, though denied it even to herself] โ over the years found herself a more stable living, developing her craft and creating her own spells โ made napoleon short [between 1769-1821, france] โ had a "night at the theatre" with abraham lincoln [1865] โ had a "date" with jack the ripper (francis tumblety) [1888] โ dated mick jagger [1960s, london] โ was captured at one point by the british men of letters but was released in exchange for a resurrection spell [between 1990s-2000s, england] [ 2015 ] โ after discovering that her son actually was alive, she did what she could to get back into his life โ tries to kill the winchesters multiple times due to men of letters crimes โ assists sam in researching and removing the mark of cain โ tries and fails to set up her own coven โ is captured by the winchesters to remove the spell she put on castiel (attack dog) [ 2016 ] โ captured again by crowley and is given to the winchesters to help deal with amara. rowena double-crosses them by releasing lucifer from his cage. and is killed by him โ after resurrecting, sides with amara and helps her after lucifer betrayed her, but scared by amara's plans she betrays her and goes back to the winchesters โ meets god, has tea with him, helps them stop amara โ tries to start a new, supernatural-free life. everyone ruins it for her. thanks guys โ crowley tries to get her to send lucifer back to the cage, she fails but sends him elsewhere (for now) โ crowley tries to get her to do it (again) and lucifer appears to have gone back to the cage [ 2017 ] โ rowena helps remove a curse from dean and faces down the loughlin's (good revenge time) โ rowena meets her grandson (gavin) before helping send him back through time โ as lucifer was not in the cage he hunts rowena down, torturing her and burning her to death [may 2017] โ rowena resurrects again, terrified of lucifer and refusing to feel helpless again, asks the winchesters to help her remove the seal on her power. they tenuously work together and sam does help her, understanding her fear โ rowena unseals her full power and uses it to try and bait death into resurrecting crowley, but death won't [ 2018 ] โ rowena chats to the boys who ask for her help in stopping lucifer (again) which she agrees to โ rowena helps the boys find gabriel, sleeps with him, and goes with him to capture lucifer to use his grace as a tool to open a rift โ when lucifer tries to bait rowena with her pain she lashes back, though she'd taken his bait as she unintentionally frees him and has to keep the rift open solo. she succeeds, everyone's saved โ goes on a road trip with alternate charlie (and they hook up, lbh) [ 2019 ] โ she examines jack after he's sick and tries to help heal him โ helps the winchesters defeat a gorgon โ unwillingly agrees to host michael before jack smites him โ rowena helps the boys contain the souls of hell that god has unleashed before trying to heal the rupture. the main plan fails but she changes it, containing the souls within herself, dying and sealing the rift, saving the world [november 2019] โ after dying, rowena claims the throne of hell and becomes queen despite only being a damned soul [december 2019]
