( her mood had marginally improved since the previous night, rowena wasn't quite so explosive (in every sense) and though that rippling frustration still was very visible at the surface there was also a strange calm to her, almost more hollow than true calm.
she'd let regina in with little fuss, already having drinks prepared for them, leaving the bottle on the coffee table as she sank back into her couch with her drink, a little smaller rather than her usual presence )
I spent my first few weeks trying to leave here. I didn't think that someone might leave as I was stuck here.
( so much for drinking without feelings but it's context more than anything. and in the safety of her home with one person she vaguely trusts she can say a little )
[ Regina thinks she's not a good listener, inasmuch as she's not a good motivational speaker. She had spent decades on her revenge quest because a 10 year old spilled a secret, so even if she and Rowena had formed a good bond here, she doesn't know if she'd be of help to her this time.
At least, accompanying her while she drinks is a good enough way to process this. At least, this is what she believes.
So upon arrival, she sits on the couch and grabs her own glass. ] Well, if you haven't noticed, this place is pretty unpredictable.
[ There's no bite to her words, just an exhaustion and a lightly veiled sarcasm. ] Who's this someone? Friend of yours?
( it was complicated given that castiel didn't truly know who she was, didn't have all of the memories given he was from her past, but she'd at least trust him as much as she could trust someone, and they were friendly. friend was a hard word for her but castiel had been the closest thing to it )
He was from my world, someone who didn't even wish to leave here, and though he'd helped me attempt to go back he hadn't wanted that for himself.
